SecuraStock Automatic Reorder Acknowledgement
When on-hand inventory levels reach a predetermined reorder point, the SecuraStock System sends an e- mail notification to the party responsible for creating a reorder. Reorders are processed within the system after a restock order is placed by the responsible party. This process ensures that the on-hand and on-order quantities are current and accurate.
Some customers have requested an automatic reorder process. With this process, an e-mail notification is sent to the party responsible for creating the order. However, the system will automatically update the On- Order Quantity (i.e. add those items to Reorder screen automatically) to show that a replacement order has been placed. Should the responsible party not receive the e-mail, delete the e-mail or inadvertently ignore the e-mail, the actual reorder will never be placed. This could lead to stock outs in the SecuraStock
machine, i.e. machine is expecting an order that never comes because it was never placed.
The SecuraStock System has been designed to ensure inventory status reports are highly accurate to minimize outages. Should a customer request an automated reorder feature to be activated, this functionality is only available after the customer has given assurances that auto-reorders will be placed within their system.
