Enrolling Users

These instructions ONLY apply to people with the role "USER" in the User Interface. If you are enrolling a fingerprint for someone designated as a PowerUser, Manager or Admin in the User Interface, please see the instructions for "Enrolling Admins".

  1. Open the Access Control unit's "Menu"

You must be enrolled in the Access Control system with one of the following roles: Enroller1 Administrator or Supervisor to access the MENU

1. Press the Menu key FIRST

2. Log into the Access Control unit (use your fingerprint, Access PIN or RFID card)

3. Once you are authenticated, the Menu screen will appear

1. Scroll with the arrow up and down keys and place the cursor ( )

  1. Press the OK key.

  1. Press the OK key.

The Access Control unit will prompt you;

The Access Control unit will prompt you as to whether you want to continue with a Backup Enrollment.

1n this example, a user has no ye been selected for

Backup on the Access Control unit, so the default Access 10# of 00001 is shown.

8. Use the keypad to enter the employee's Access ID.

or our example, we are entering a fingerprint for an employee with Access 10 55.

Let the employee know that as soon as you press the "OK" key, it will be time to place his or her finger

on the reader. The Access Control unit will prompt the employee to place the finger on the reader a total of three times. The employee should remove the finger after the unit completes each read.

  1. Press the OK key.

C. Enroll the Finger

1. Have the employee place his or her finger on the sensor for a full 2 seconds.

2. After the Access Control unit scans the finger, it will

"beep" and the following screen will appear.

3. The employee should remove his or her finger from the sensor briefly

4. The employee places the finger on the sensor for a

2nd time. Again, a prompt will appear on the screen.

5. Again, the Access Control unit will "beep" and the "Remove Finger" screen will appear when the scan is complete. The employee should remove the finger from the sensor briefly a second time.

6. The employee places the finger on the sensor for a

3rd time. Again, a prompt will appear on the screen.

NO If the finger print read was unsuccessful, you will be prompted to try again.

YES After a successful enrollment, a prompt appears asking to continue with backup enrollment

Are you finished entering fingerprints for THIS EMPLOYEE?

NO If you wish to enter another fingerprint for THIS EMPLOYEE, choose OK and go through steps 1 through 6 above for the next finger.

YES If you are finished entering fingerprints for THIS EMPLOYEE, choose ESC to return to the User Options menu.

Are you finished entering fingerprints for all employees?

NO If you wish to enroll ANOTHER EMPLOYEE, start from the previous section

"B. NAVIGATE THE MENU" and begin the process anew for the next employee.

YES, If you are finished enrolling employees, choose ESC again to return to the

Main menu, then ESC once again to exit the all menus.
