Name Required The complete title of the department Examples: Human Resources or Information Technology

Department Manager selected from a drop down menu of the Users table.

This field is optional, and can only be entered AFTER the Manager is added to the Users table. Suggested sequence: 1) enter Departments, 2) enter Users, and 3) edit Department to add

Active Required

Y – The department is active

N – The department is no longer being actively used

The default for the Active field is "Y". If a department is no longer needed, change this field to

"N". DO NOT DELETE departments.
